    Looking for blueprints!

Interesting Gen 1 blueprints... I think these were created as a "hobby" effort and not created from actual production blueprints, though. There is a large Race Sim community out there that has modelled Vipers in 3D form for quite some time... You might find what your looking for there...

Why do Vipers have such small valves and headers?

The Viper V-10 is basically a small block V-8 with an extra set of pistons added to make it a V-10. That is, cylinder for cylinder, the swept volume displacement of any given cylinder on the V-10 would be similar to the swept volume displacement of any given cylinder on a small block V-8. Hence...

    GENERATION 4 ?

Hey, Not only did I do the mid-engine SRT in the secret corporate garage 'sketch" that was posted here, but more to point, I also did a rendition of the "Gullwing Viper", SIX YEARS ago, back in 1997... How do I post a pix of the "evidence"? Also I have MANY other "sketches" that I have done...

    Tomahawk, 427, Cad V-16, SS, SRT-8...

Any thoughts on the latest crop of show cars? The V-16 Caddy is a standout with 1000hp and 13.6 liters. The Tomahawk, with Viper power in a "motorcycle" has to be the wildest thing at the show. The GTO is a disappointment to me, a dull styling update of the Holden, and not really worthy as...

Does anyone collect Slot Cars? (pic inside)

I "collect" older 1/24 scale slot cars. This looks like a 1/32(?). The companies "FLY" and Carrera" come to mind as current makers of scale-accurate slot cars, especially in the 1/32 scale (there are a lot of choices in this scale, MANY subjects have been replicated, including many variaties of...

1991 Indy 500 Viper pace car promos

I think I had posted this in the wrong place. Here it is, if you missed it. A single case of factory promotional models of the "1991" Viper RT/10 Indy Pace car has come to light. These are hard to find as they were never available individually, and only could be purchased in a multiple car set...

    SRT vs GT-40

I caught the Ford GT40 at the NY show over the weekend. In my opinion the car was "best of show".

    question about the 1994 clutch

I had this "safety feature" switch changed out on my 1994 RT/10 early on, perhaps when it was a year old. The symptoms were as you described, occasionally not starting until it finally failed. Essentially The "safety feature" switch eliminates the possibility of starting the engine while the...

    Viper Promos no longer available?

Has there been a factory promo model of either the RT/10 or the GTS available since 1998 (I believe that was the last year one was offered)? Also, does anyone know what represents the complete list of all Viper promotional models...

According to the BMW club which is hosting the event, their club only allows street legal cars in autocross events. As a result shifterkarts cannot be run.

    NY/CT Viper Autocross (FINALLY!!!)

Is any special safety equipment needed? Snell SA95 (or snell SA90) helmet, driving suit, jacket? Any considerations for a first time particpant to be aware of...? Would it be all right to bring along a shifterkart to run?

    NY/CT Viper Autocross (FINALLY!!!)

Is any special safety equipment needed? Snell 95 helmet (snell 90?). Driving suit or jacket needed? Any other considerations that a first time participant should be aware of...? Just a thought, but would they entertain the possibility of bringing a shifter kart to the event?

List that event on our regional website calendar, I know we need things for August. I'm in the area also. Which battery for '94 RT/10?

Re: Which battery for \'94 RT/10? Thanks for the info. What is the current 2000-2001 OEM Battery for the Viper, and would that be most appropriate for the 1994 RT/10? Is it a sealed unit?

    Which battery for '94 RT/10?

Which battery for \'94 RT/10? I have to replace the battery on my '94 roadster. What is the way to go? The Optima 7535 as shown in the Illustrated Viper Instructions or another? The top posts on the Optima look to be a potential area of concern in the installation... What is the current OEM...

Anyone Been to NY Auto SHow?..Gen 3 There?.

Right Joe. A big car. At least a four-place vehicle... A full-size car... Something like a two-door version of the Mercury Maurauder, or the current big S-class Mercedes two door, The kind of car that America used to build. Even the Charger concept of recent years sported four doors, althought...

Anyone Been to NY Auto SHow?..Gen 3 There?.

Went to the NY show on Monday, and the show itself seemed bigger than ever. A couple of quick observations: 1). In checking out the new Viper, I would say the chapter 3 car is not as wide as the dimensions that have been generally released. It appears to be the same width as the current car...

    Viper Promos

Are there Viper promos for 2001, 2000, and 1998? 1999 only offered the GTS. Has there been an RT/10 promo since 1997?

Team Viper Deserves a standing ovation !

Random thoughts and questions, The "505 Viper" with 500 hp at the flywheel and race weight of 3400 lbs would suggets a quarter mile time solidly in the elevens, say 11.6-11.7! I am not put out by the styling of the new Viper, I like it (I like the original '89 show car much better though)...
