Stang7900,
OMG!! I can't believe it had to come to that. I've installed stereo systems for years and have never had to resort to something like that. I'm sure not looking forward to jacking up the Viper just to run wires. Sounds like you had some fun. I will definitely shoot you a message...
Stang7900,
How did you run new RCA's to your trunk? I would like to get a new head unit and would to know what kind of "fun" I should expect running new wires.
Thanks
My driver\'s side door won\'t stay open.
What gives? It's pretty embarrasing having a 50k car and the damn door won't even stay open. My passenger door "locks" into place just fine. Is this a common problem with Gen II RT/10's? If so, what can I do to fix this?
Superbar,
The "ghetto" sealed enclosure is about 0.66 cu/ft. I would recommend getting a custom fiberglass enclosure to make better use of the space down there. I was on a budget and just took a chance with 15 bucks. You should have seen the grin on my face when I put on some thumping rap...
That's one drawback to having such a nice car. 99% of the time I only take it to places where I can keep my eye on it. I ALWAYS hear, "So when can I see your car? You never take it anywhere!" That's because I would never take it to apartments, restaraunts, malls, etc. I just worry about my...
SuperBar,
There IS room for passenger leg room with my setup. I have two friends, one is 5'7 and the other is 6'0 and they fit comfortably. I would take out the sub if I was planning on taking any long trips (Which I never would due to gas/milelage/etc)
Check out the results of my "Thumping RT/10" adventure.

Re: Pic of BlackNBlack\'s Custom Stereo Install
I'm jealous of you GTS owners sometimes.. I miss the "push your ears in" feeling my sub used to give me when I had a hatchback.
Thanks for answering my questions! Can't wait to take my car to the track. I used to go all the time in my 300ZX TT. The fastest I was ever able to pull was a 12.9 @ 110.. I would hate to show up in my Viper and run anything slower than that. I still need a way to go to get used to all this...
Re: Results!!!
The solobaric is awesome! Worth the extra money if space is an issue. My friend used to be jealous because the one 10" speaker I have hits harder than his two 12's!
Results!!!
Since I already had a 10" Solobaric sub, I decided to test my skills and build my own sub box. I knew that this would be tricky due to the awkward shape of the passenger footwell area. Anyways, here is the result of my primitive box building adventure..
I'm pushing the sub...
I've waxed my car once by hand and had to keep whiping the sweat from my forehead! I've always heard that orbital machines leave swirl marks. Is there a certain technique to prevent swirl marks?
ViperJoe,
The hooks came with insulation already installed. I believe they were about 4 bucks each. They are VERY sturdy and come with pretty long screws that can go into 2x4's. They are also long enough to allow the top to lean up against the wall.
