I currently own a 1994 RT/10 and am seriously considering upgrading to an early SRT/10. I have really enjoyed the Gen 1 for the last 3 years, however, the lack of creature comforts has finally caught up. It is becoming too much of a pain in the a$$ to deal with snap in windows and a stow-away...
I want to replace the OEM speed clamps on the water valve heater hoses with screw clamps. Can I do this without draining the coolant? How much coolant will spill out if I remove the hoses w/o draining?
Thx
Since we are on topic...a couple questions for the owners of the V1. I recently purchased a V1 based on several recommendations to replace my stolen Escort 8500 X50. So far, I have mixed feelings about the V1.
1. With my Escort 8500, I turned off X-band since no police use it in my area...
Can someone send me a scanned copy of their 1994 RT/10 window sticker? I cannot locate my original and am unable to get a duplicate. My insurance company has asked for this as a reference for an agreed value policy, plus it's nice to have for the records.
Thanks,
Bill
I'm in the process of switching insurance companies for my 1994 RT/10. I'm considering a stated value policy, but to do so I need to have the car appraised. Can anyone recommend a person/company who would have knowledge on Vipers to provide a good appraisal?
Thanks
There is a new Mopar VIPER Oil filter that is supposed to be superior to any aftermarket filter. It was introduced recently and fits all models. For the other fluids:
Oil - Mobil 1 10W30
Oil Filter- Mopar "Viper"
Power steering fluid - Mopar
Rear differential fluid - Mopar

Bravo Chrysler & the Illinois Viper Club!
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of joining some fellow VCA members as guests of the Illinois Viper Club on a tour of several Viper-related facilities in the Motor City. The schedule included the CAAP - birthplace of the Viper, Prefix Corporation - a...
My younger sister is moving home to Detroit from Los Angeles this month. She has a 2002 GMC Envoy that needs to be shipped home. The car has high mileage, so she's just looking for cheap transport. How much should it cost? Any recommendations on companies? I'm assuming that there are...
I've got a 94 RT/10 with the OEM 17" wheels and just purchased new Pilot Sports in April. Shortly thereafter, I came across a great deal on some used gen 3 10 spoke wheels/tires, so I bought them with the intention of selling for a quick profit. When I saw them next to my car, I considered...
I discovered a grinding/rattling noise coming from the underside of my 1994 RT/10 on Sunday night. The noise was noticeable in all gears, but was only present while moving. I had the car towed to Dick Scott Dodge in Plymouth, MI (the local favortie among Viper owners). They just got back with...
Here is my problem...I have a rattle coming from the passenger door when driving over bumps that is pretty bad. It goes away if the passenger holds the doors, which makes me think that the latch could be adjusted for a snug fit. Unfortuantely, I do not if/how it can be adjusted. Can anyone...
I need to remove the sport pad on my 1994 RT/10 to adjust my new Autoform hard top. What tools do I need to remove the pad? It was hard to see under the pad, so I don't know if the bolts require a wrench, allen, or other to remove.
Thanks
I would like to disengage the annoying 1-4 skip shift on my 1994 RT/10. I did some searching on this forum and online and found the following 2 methods:
1. Simply unplug the solenoid and tape everything off to prevent possible corrosion on the plug ends.
2. Purchase a skip shift...
I've got the extra seat belt in mine. I'll check this weekend and repost. I know it's a lap belt that is tucked between the outside edge of the seat and the door sill.
Stay tuned!
I purchased some EBC greens last year and would like to find out if they the new or old formula. I decided to stick with stock pads and want to sell these. Figured they might be more attractive if they are the old compound.
If anyone is interested in a set of frontsd and rears for a Gen1, let...
I've got a crack in my oil pan around the drain plug, so I'm going to be replacing it soon. Anything out of the ordinary that I need to know when installing? Here's what I know:
1. Use locktite on the baffle screws inside the pan.
2. Tighten from the inside out.
Do I need locktite on the...
now I'm confused...
I'm a sophomore Viper owner, and have been following the various brake threads this past year. The information posted led me to purchase a set of EBC greens last year. I bought them based on all the positive response they received from the various members. I haven't put...
Yes, 6W0's.
They fit fine, however, you'll have to grind down the screws that stick out on the factory grills...otherwise they contact the speaker surround.
Where does it come out inside the cabin? I can't find an access? Do I need to remove another panel (not removed in the 2nd picture)? I started to peel the carpet away, but didn't see/or feel any holes behind the passenger seat.
