One of those "self-check" moments in Life.

That is the closest thing to a compliment that you have said about any Vert Viper.. I will take it. I am kind of touched... You're turning into a big softy!

I don't think there is a warranty with them...no mention of it on his website. I read posts with guys having good luck with them. That probably sold me even more than a warranty.

One of those "self-check" moments in Life.

Thanks Free2go, I don't know why the hell he smiles like that....just to be a little sh*t I think!!! Ya, good memories. And I looked closer tonight. It appears my steering pump is leaking around the shaft seal. It is a pretty aggressive drip too! Hoses are not leaking..but I am replacing...

One of those "self-check" moments in Life.

Long read but worth it. We just had our big Father's Day Car show and parade here in Western Nebraska yesterday! Over 350 cars! (big show for our area) I was really excited to display my Viper with my son who is 11. We had matching Viper shirts and everything. It was a big deal to us...

2003 Viper...Water pump noise on Very hot day???

Seems like my power steering pump has let go. PS fluid dripping on the ground. Will probably do the water pump anyway while we are in there fixing the other stuff!!!

2003 Viper...Water pump noise on Very hot day???

Well lets just say if was freaking HOT (99 degrees) and humid here in Nebraska today. Easily the hottest day since owning my 2003 Viper of 10 months. Well, after about a 30 minute city drive the water temp hit about 220ish...which itself is not bad...but the hottest I have seen. Well a...

12 year old spark plug wires.

I have an ever so slight stumble "miss" at about 2500 rpm or so under light throttle. You can feel it, my mechanic can feel it...but it does not throw a misfire code. I changed plugs a 8 months ago...but never wires. The wires are original that come with my 2003 and it and the wires now has...

Gen 3 vs 4 diff fluid

I have a story for ya....the shop who put in my 3.55 gears knew nothing about putting in the friction modifier. And about 2-3 weeks later my diff really started barking at me and fighting me in slow tight turns. I added the modifier and now all is back to normal. So if anyone thinks friction...

8.5 mpg city? or about 120 miles per tank city?

Ok, ran a tank through with the stock tune versus the SCT Tune. Pretty much drove it the exact same. It went from 8.5 to 11 mpg. Could a tune really make it loose that many mpg without any seat of the pants gains? I need to get to the dyno for some conclusive results....but for now, the...

    Speaker upgrades

I have tried the Soundstream USB-8A sub enclosure in the passenger footwell with really good results. I was impressed. Something about it being in the footwell that makes the bass really hit hard for such a slim enclosure. If you rarely have a passenger...like I do, it really does not...

8.5 mpg city? or about 120 miles per tank city?

I threw my stock tune back in tonight and it feels more crisp if that makes any sense. There is much less backfiring on decel and it seems to run really well. I think my canned tune is way off. I will dyno back to back and find out what is going on and which one has the best power curve/top...

8.5 mpg city? or about 120 miles per tank city?

Yep, I calculate MPG this way as shown below. I went 120 miles on 14.3 gallons of gas. worked out to 8.4mpg. Low fuel light came on, so I drove it very close to empty. Maybe all is OK, and like Dom426h says..it is a waste of time to try and compare as there are so many variables...

8.5 mpg city? or about 120 miles per tank city?

100% City driving. Mostly stop and go with very little time at constant throttle. Also very short trips. My engine hardly has time to fully warm up! My work is only 3 miles from home....so lots of 3 mile trips each day. I have my CATS removed as well. I think I will try my stock tune for...

8.5 mpg city? or about 120 miles per tank city?

I get about 120 miles out of a tank of gas. And I really don't drive all that aggressive. I have an SCT Tune and wonder if it is running really rich and burning lots of fuel. I guess the car exhaust does not smell funny nor do I have any other signs that something is wrong. More wondering...

Looking for 2006 SRT10 Hood Screen Set!

I am right with you....I think you could shop around to a few hardware stores and find some killer looking mesh and make them yourself for $50. Seems very overpriced to me.

Gen 3 Convertible rear valance/bumper inserts. Turned out nice!

Allen....I blacked out the rear using photoshop....it is not really blacked out. We are supposed to run a front plate in NE...but I have not yet.... I am sure I will get pulled over sooner or later for it.:nono:

Gen 3 Convertible rear valance/bumper inserts. Turned out nice!

Thanks guys. Morketh.....the damn things are kind of expensive for some simple plastic pieces..... They certainly jack the price up because it is for a viper. They are about $200 shipped. They are soft molded plastic. Won't crack or break. Found mine one ebay. brand new from a mopar...

Gen 3 Convertible rear valance/bumper inserts. Turned out nice!

I have never liked how the rear of my viper has two big long holes below the rear bumper area. It looked so unfinished to me. I ordered the mopar inserts and installed them yesterday. I really like how they finished the look of the rear end.
