First thing I think about with a 9 year old car with only 12K miles....is are the original tires still on it? If so, think about new tires. My tires on my 2003 that I bought a year ago were the originals.. ROCK Hard and the OEM Runflats. Offered no traction.
My shocks were also leaking...
My first question to them would be to ask for a sample to see if it matches the OEM carbon fiber color and pattern. If it is the same...I think it would look killer.
Ya, I was a bit turned off by the off-roading...but it did get my attention and that is the reason I watched it. I was like.."WTH...off roading a Viper?!!!
Like Bonkers said...they were probably test mules...if not...well, there still was some fun footage. Minus the off-roading...
Thanks guys...my lower fill plug is basically frozen then. I could not budge the thing. Broke an allen socket off in it!!! I used the top one like Allan does to put in some friction modifier. Did a gear change a couple months ago and they did not put friction modifier in. My diff on tight...
I assumed it was to check diff fluid level....but mine is froze....cannot budge it. I was able to easily remove the plug right above it....that is silver in the picture. Thoughts?
Just my 2 cents....if you do ever plan on selling it...a rebuilt title will eliminate 70% of potential buyers looking for that approximate year/color. I know I personally would not entertain buying a rebuilt title simply due to the difficulties selling it. If you never plan on selling...
Best App Ever for Iphone. It is called "Dude, Your Car!"
I took pics of everone's car at work and April Fooled them. One lady came storming and cussing out of her office. It was great!
G-force chip, I would get that thing out of my viper instantly. I believe the theory is they trick the computer to thinking your air intake temp is lower than it actually is. So the computer dumps more fuel in... But I would bet it does not even do that. I mean, they make one for an ENZO...
Paul Hawker....you are exactly right....I was quite amazed how much the tips move when the exhaust is hot. I actually adjusted the exhaust last night towards the front to compensate for the expansion when things heat up.
Re: nice car
Ok, I'll bite. Not because I have a Gen 3, but because if I am correct, Vipers 2003 to 2009 share basically the same body style...with the exception of later years getting an updated hood. Some verts, some not. I guess I don't consider 2003-2009 Vipers red headed freckled...
I have seen some after market exhausts with nice chrome tips. I always thought they looked really good with chrome wheels. But I already have my exhaust how I want it. So changing or replacing the exhaust just for the chrome tips made no sense. I searched the internet...but really did not...
I love my 03....Granted I had to put about 5K into upgrades/repairs to get it how I want it...but now I just enjoy it! It is my daily driver and I get compliments on it EVERY day!. like Nsane1 said....it is fun car you can use and drive. It may hold its value fairly well, but won't gain...
That soft rubber coating on my center console and on each of my inside door opener handle bezels is peeling too. I tried a little paint thinner on a spot, but it messed up the hard plastic underneath. Any ideas on how to remove this crap.. or is there a reasonably priced center console...
I remember my oil fil cap o-ring leaked. the o-ring flattens and eventually does not seal. I happened to have a silicone o-ring laying around that gave a really nice snug fit. No leaks anymore. Take a look at your o-ring....I bet it has hardened and flattened out.
In my 2003 Viper I had a shifter that would slap back and forth as the tires strained for traction. I very highly suspected a failed motor mount. Sure enough. Driver side motor mount had failed. Have not checked the passenger side as I know it is a royal pain in the butt to change. I...
