I have always heard 20psi maximum so I usually pump mine up to 15psi just to be a little conservative. With a few years use on 3 cars I've never had a problem. MGH
Just installed a new set of Hooker headers on my '96 RT/10. They are ceramic coated so will be a little cooler than stock. I have Magnecor wires and was wondering if most people remove the little heat shield tubes from their plugs? When istalling headers, do most leave off the heat reflective...
Call Redline 800-624-7958 and ask for a dealer close to you or just do a google search and purchase it online. Most places are fairly close on price but shipping can vary. MGH
I have a '96 RT/10 which I understand is a Gen1 body and engine with a Gen2 PCM and suspension. Kind of a bastard year. Will the Mopar PCM do anything for me? Is is compatible? Thanks, MGH
That is true although 2.7 HP seems a little high for each pound. One of the problems with the lighter pulleys are that the Harmonic balancers on the front of the crank are reduce just that, harmonic vibrations. By lightening the pulley's without rebalancing the crank can instill more harmonic...
Drilled are Ok for the street but not for the track except... Porsche factory rotors that are drilled actually have the holes cast in, same for Ferrari. They hold up much better than drilled rotors as having them cast in tend to stress relieve them. There is supposedly a slight reduction in...
Better than the Speed Bleeders is to purchase a Motive Power bleeder and the Master cylinder adapter kit. While your at it might as well purchase the cap for the clutch too. Easier on your Master cylinder without all of the pumping. When you pump bleed your brakes by pumping the pedal, you tend...
I second the opinion that in Cal. I would go to a thicker oil. If you want to stick with Mobil 1, use the 0W40 as it has much better HTHS (High Temp High Shear) rating. Just check the Mobil 1 website. Although a much better oil is Redline in either 10w30 or even 10w40 in the Sacramento summer...
Oh yea, with my application I received the Viper sweepsteaks form that needed to be returned by 2 Dec. Well, I received the form on 2 Decemeber so it was a little late. Did anyone else receive theirs extremely late like me? MGH
If you look at their website they show the Redline D4 ATF as recommended for the T-56 Vette. Well, they don't mention the Viper as their isn't a lot of them compared to Vette's but it is funny they recommend a different oil for the Vette with the same tranny. They told me the difference in their...
slaughterj, I see you have Mobil 1 10W30 for engine oil. If you check the Mobil 1 website and look at the Tech specs. The newer Mobil 1 0W40 has a higher High Temp High Shear(HTHS) rating than the 10W30. This is a newer European rating for high output engines which provides greater protection...
The reply I recieved from Redline Oil was to use their D4 ATF or 1/2 MTL and 1/2 MTL90 in the tranny and use their 75w140 in the Diff. I have about 500 miles on their new Lightweight Shockproof gear oil in the Diff but just ordered their 75W140 due to their recommendation and the fact that their...
I only use Chevron Gas and I've inspected the injectors on some of my cars and they were all as clean as new. Ditto on what DevilDog said though, if you use the Techron Concentrate, do it on a tank just before an oil change. Both Porsche and Mercedes recommend Techron in the U.S.

Hedman Headers with Borla exhaust, probably remove the cats. Possibly Jesel rockers. Maybe a PCM upgrade from West Coast Viper. ? who knows what else. MGH
I live in Washington State which requires a front plate but don't have one on any of my cars and have never had a ticket. A couple of warnings in the last 10 or 20 years but never a ticket. Doesn't match the style of the car very well. MGH
Congrats, I just bought my '96 w/13K 2 months ago. I couldn't wait either so I flew back to NJ and drove it back. Already put a K&N intake system on it, BBS 18" wheels with new Pilots, New Intrax springs, slotted rotors and Hawk pads, Hedman Headers and Borla exhaust (Headers and Borla) not...
Sorry for the late reply. I haven't had a problem yet with the inadequate spring length but I don't drive my car that much this time of the year and I just installed the springs a month ago. Intrax claims 1" drop front and rear and I would say that is pretty close, maybe a little less. MGH
Anyone know what the difference is between Gen 1 vs. Gen 2 fuel injectors? Is there any performance gain. What if the exhuast/intake are upgraded in a Gen 1 engine? Thanks, MGH
I've been a Mobil 1 fan for years as I get a discount from a local supplier. Recently I've learned of some new European oil requirements which are much stricter than API standards. The standars are the ACEA A3 and the HTHS (High Temp High Shear) standards. For example, only the Mobil 1 0W40 and...
I have a set of Intrax on my car. Happy with the spring rate, not noticably stiffer than stock. Happy with the rear spring install, unhappy about the fronts. They have slop that at full extension could let the spring rotate and get slightly out of place on the perches. Most high Qual. springs...
