    For the headlights I just used the 3M Headlight kit. It requires a good cordless drill, and takes a little bit of patience, but its a far cheaper option than replacing.

    DOT 5 is the stuff to avoid - DOT 3 should be okay for daily use. Youre best bet is to flush the system though - its not that difficult, if you cant, any good mechanic can in a couple of hours...
