Try to find a picture of what the window pin looks like. It's like an arrow with the clip going around the shaft of the arrow. Once you pull the pin you just need to push/pull out the arrow from the carrier.

the window is held onto the carrier with a push in pin. You have to push the window pin out of the hole I believe it was toward the outside of the door. Don't lose the foam pad that is sandwiched between the window and the carrier.
I think if you cut power for a short time the PCM won't reset. It's no different than changing a battery. But if you cut power for a long time it will reset. I think there's some capacitors or some residual power storage in there but not sure.
