Orange Coast Dodge won't repair $1400 scratch

Re: Orange Coast Dodge won\'t repair $1400 scratch Thanks for the great recommendations. Will never leave any car at a shop without a careful walk-around. Of course I have no proof that the scratch occurred at Orange Coast Dodge. If I did, I would have produced it to the dealer and, without...

Orange Coast Dodge won't repair $1400 scratch

Orange Coast Dodge won\'t repair $1400 scratch I dropped my pristine 2004 Viper at Orange Coast Dodge for a routine oil change. Returned later to find a massive scrape on the passenger's fender and bumper. The service manager implied that since nobody saw the accident, they wouldn't repair...

Who drives there Viper year round? Also mileage?

I have been driving my supercharged 2004 every day for the past 3 months. I do enjoy it, rain or shine. Before that, it was a weekend toy...but sold the daily workhorse. Now I am not sure I would want to change back. As a daily driver, it works just fine. Tend to drive it slower, of course...

CL 55 AMG vs supercharged SRT10

The comments about downshifting are well-taken. I suppose I have become complacent having 700 hp...it is usually no problem to pass any car. But that AMG was damn fast. Had I known how fast, I would have been in 4th to get up to the power band. Nevertheless, the car was closing and I think I...

CL 55 AMG vs supercharged SRT10

Driving down 241 Toll Road in OC when a black CL55 AMG passes me in the Fast Trak lane. I am cruising at 80 in 6th gear and decide to do the usual...blast by this dude to intimidate him. After a downshift to 5th gear and WOT, I notice him pulling away from me. As the rpm's climb I am closing...

    Dyno Results from this evening...

After the DC Performance computer reflash, the lean condition below 3500 rpm will be corrected. The A/F ration will be 11-12:1 throughout the RPM band. It results in a very smooth idle and lower rpm driving.

Paxton guys - Any blow by?

I wonder, is your repair work covered by warranty? My guess is no due to the mods. Darel

    60 mph in first gear??

Does it strike anybody else as odd that original Viper SRT-10 road tests all documented 0-60 times of 3.9 seconds, and now all the tests against the Z06 report a 4.2 second time. I smell a rat.

Paxton bogging / cutting out at 2500 - 3000 rpm

Dan, Unfortunately, I am on-call this weekend at Hoag. :( Alas, I am still making payments on my Viper. Maybe the 12th? Darel

First dragstrip times - any suggestions?

Second gear with a 3.55 rear-end would be like first gear with a 2.40 ratio. It would require more clutch slippage, but would be interesting to test against a first gear start.

Paxton bogging / cutting out at 2500 - 3000 rpm

Dan: Sorry to hear about your problem. I would suspect that one of the auxilliary fuel pumps has malfunctioned (despite the presence of current at the pump). That would account fot the car running fine at at light load when fuel demand is low. I would expect that if the ECM was...

    One Year on the Supercharger

I am a cardiologist, and I just can't see doing the am/pm commute to allow my car to sit at the hospital and have inconsiderate doctors ding my doors, or worse, park it at my office and have little old ladies with Lincoln Continentals back into the fender, as happened to my Audi S4 a few weeks...

    One Year on the Supercharger

I actually live in Crystal Cove, the development behind the shopping center. I have been down there a few times. Quite a collection, but you see tend to see the same Ferraris and Lambos every week. Let me know if you are going and I'll try to get up early. A couple of Black Supercharged Vipers...

I highly recommend DC Performance. I would call Dan Cragin (310-841-6996) for a quote.

    One Year on the Supercharger

I have now had my supercharged SRT10 for one year. I have logged 2500 trouble-free, fairly hard miles. It was back on the dyno at DC Performance almost a year to the day later. The horsepower curve was superimposable...650 rwhp which is probably 720 hp at the clutch. I just had the Hurst...

Unfortunately, they look like the wrong font style but I'd have to see it in place to be sure.

    $100,1HOUR,HOWTO/MUST DO,SPEAKER UPGRADE(PICS)

Well, my new Polks just came. I am planning to install them this weekend. I am a little confused about the connector issue. Why didn't you just solder the wires right off of the stock speakers onto the poles of the Polk speakers and just plug it in? DB

New SRT-10, added Paxton ans Moton's. Truly remarkable..

Re: New SRT-10, added Paxton ans Moton\'s. Truly remarkable.. Do you have any tire scraping with sharp turns or bottoming out with dips, speed bumps, etc. I have had other cars that have been lowered and this problem has always driven me nuts. The Motons do sound great.

The ultimate race of all times!!!

What is your problem? Nobody said that a Diablo can't beat a Viper. We just said that THAT Diablo couldn't beat THAT Viper. Even the Diablo owner was gracious enough to admit that. By the way, your call of "B....S..." is wrong. Harry does routinely powershift his 512 TR like Mr. Toad on...

The ultimate race of all times!!!

By the way for Mr. allanlambo's information, I have ridden with Harry in his Ferrari 512 TR and he drives like a F...n maniac...full powershifts and the like. If ViperMike blew his doors off, it was not for Harry's timidity or lack of skill. DB PS: He was going to loan me the Diablo this weekend

The ultimate race of all times!!!

Just got off the phone with a friend of mine named Harry who owns a motorcycle shop. He is a kind of crazy guy with various Ferraris and other fast cars. He was telling me about his new yellow Lamborghini Diablo VT and how he got beat by a red Viper SRT-10. I said, hey, I think I read about...

    cruise control Install

Having owned a 427 Cobra with no radio, AC, electric windows (had plexiglass sliders), let alone cruise control, I think the Viper is relatively sophisticated by comparison. I bought my SRT-10 in Denver on Ebay, flew in, signed the papers, and hit the road to California via New Mexico. The...

What do Viper owners think of these cars?

My first car was a big-block Camaro that turned 11.90 at 125mph. I thought 200rwhp was pretty hot.
