    What trans fluid in 96 GTS?

    Can somebody help me please with what fluid to use in a 96 GTS? I cant figure out which one. Mercon V, ATF+4, D/C3? I was told that in 96 or 97 there was a TSB for synthetic. Ive searched and still cant decide. Thanks

    I would like to get a aftermarket shifter, but I dont like the small shifter handles. Can I use my stock shifter handle with a SVS or Ripper? Thanks

    I think my 3rd gear syncro is about shot. I was driving today, hit 3rd clean and know this. It is starting to grind or hard to get in. If you downshift to 2nd, but not put it in 2nd gear and go to 3rd, it will go in alot better. I know I will have to pull it and can do this myself. I would like...

    If I start the car at temp. It will come on, but if it is at temp, it will not come on unless you start the car. Is this normal? At what point should the fan come on to check the relay?

    The reason it overheated is because the fan didnt come on. When I noticed it I had the windows down and couldnt hear it running. I also checked it by looking. Ill check it out tommorrow on the water pump. This is the first time it has ever done this. Ill burp it also. Thanks for the info...

    Coolant is full. The temp light wasnt on but maybe 1 minute tops. The fan wasnt on because when I got out and let it cool the first time for about 3 minutes, I started it up and it wasnt working. How do you burp this car?

    Thanks for the replies. I looked today and somebody has already done the fan upgrade for me:) It was centered. Car runs fine after driving it today and the fan comes on properly. Does anybody have any clue why it would not have come on? I dont know how I can tell if it is working now.
