So did Gen II Vipers not come with rear calipers or something? On my RT, I have the two black calipers that say Viper on them up front, but on the rear I can only see what I now know is the E-brake calipers. Sorry if this is a noobish question... I'm not really knowledgeable when it comes to...

Don't dimples on rotors reduce the structural integrity similar to drilled rotors? What are the advantages of dimpled rotors? I see a lot of options on Roe (thanks Ratical for the heads up there), but they have a ton of different sized rotors. Anyone know what size are for OE replacement?

I guess I'll try giving JonB a call then. I shot him a PM a few days ago but haven't heard back yet. I'll get at him tomorrow at some point.
Thanks guys.
Need a set of factory replacement rotors for my 2000 RT/10 (No ABS). Nothing crazy though; want to keep the price for a set of 4 under $700-$800. Any recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks
You'll most likely have to do what redtan said... put the OEM unit back in for the emission test and then reinstall once you get your tag... or move to Florida.
If you're willing to travel to purchase the car, a 97 or 98 GTS shouldn't be hard at all to locate. In all honesty, I doubt you'll find one with 80 thousand miles on it; far less in fact. Just search online for locations (Yahoo autos has a pretty decent amount of listings for all makes and...
No point in owning a high horsepower car if you're not willing to have a little fun with it every once in a while. As long as there are no other cars around, I don't see anything wrong with getting on it from time to time... it's fun.
I had a similar problem with my 2000 rt10 on the driver's side. It would roll up, but would do so very slow and would actually pause for a sec or two halfway. I simply had the motor cleaned and it worked great after that.
will do
I did not use a forum sponsored vendor. I do apologize if this offends any members here. I called a friend who has a built Lexus IS and he put me in touch with a guy a Titan Motorsports who helped me out and got me a good price on factory replacement rotors. The pads were ordered...
Wow man. Thanks for the information. Big help for me so I greatly appreciate it!! I'll do exactly what you said here. RT/10 is a 2000 btw so no ABS.
I've been considering going to an aftermarket setup. StopTech maybe... but I'd really like to avoid having to do that currently given what...
The pedal is not mushy so I guess I'll just give it some more time then and if it doesn't tighten up in another couple weeks or so, I'll take it back in.
Thanks for the help
Ok, so I just had a some repair work done to my RT/10 including new pads and work done to the rotor (forgot what they said specifically; regrinded them or something like that, I'm not sure; when it comes to this tech stuff, I'm a noob). I immediately noticed that when braking now, the car does...
Hmmm, good to know. I know nothing about their CS, but I have heard (from this forum and Viper Alley that SVS appear (in quality anyways) to be top notch)). Can anyone comment on them???
Sorry that I haven't responded in a while. My stupid Dell hard drive died on me and had to have a tech come out to replace and fix it. But ya, I'm goin' with the PS2s. Just curious however, I see a lot of you guys talking about alignment; what is the best alignment for straight line...
Thanks everyone. Ya, I'll be joining the VCA and will simply get the tires replaced. RTTTTed, yeah, I know the passenger's side needs to be fixed. I don't know why I haven't had it taken care of yet. When I first got the car I wasn't used to driving something that low to the ground (DD is an...
Thanks man. Haha, I actually noticed you're from Tampa. Me too. As for joining the VCA, what is the annual fee?
Hmmm, joining the VCA seems worth it. Viper stuff isn't cheap and it would be nice to get some sort of deal. And ya, I know that my tires are old and probably not to safe...
