2001 Viper will be built thru "October-ish" of 2001. Orders will close when expected production (~1700) are sold out. In the past, that has happened as early as APRIL of the model year.
(Ex: In 1996, all GTSs were sold months before Job 1 even ran!
It is true, that some buyers have been 'rolled over' to the next MY. Only large number was 1996, rolled for '97. Very few are "involuntary" since 1997.
There are no truly insider hints for 2002 colors. The timing of that decision, historically, is "Spring." (ie April-May) now that production assumes an October release, it could be April.) Even then, it is not offically released til orders open.
A couple of times, "Prowler Purplish" hinting has surfaced.....
I believe that ALL GTSs will have a "value bonus" due to no coupe planned for 2-3-? years !
