2002 Viper \"Heater\"

My car has 2000 miles on it and the heater does not blow hot air. Of course I am going to bring it back to the dealer which he thinks it could be the thermostat. Has anyone out there experianced any problems like this?

Set the dial to floor vents and turn on the heat after your car's been running for a little while. Reach your hand down there. If you feel hot air coming out, then your heater is fine.

Heat only comes out of the floor and defroster. The main front vents will not blow heat. It's stupid but just how it's designed.

I had the same problem on my 2002. The cable end had slipped off the acutator rod.

It's under the hood towards the windshield a bit from the plastic HVAC plenum on the passenger side.

It has a loop on the end of it-check and make sure it's ontop of the post it's supposed to be on.

Thanks guys! I believe the Enthusiast has it. I drove the car for 45 minuets with the floor vents on only so that is not it.
