As silly as it sounds, and aside from using NEW, lithium batteries in the fobs, BE SURE that the contacts are clean and reassemble the fobs carefully. With 18 fobs covering all generations, I have mis-assembles more that one fob on first try.
A locksmith MAY be able to do this. Otherwise, I THINK it will need to be done with a wiTECH 2.0 Pod.
Hopefully, someone else knows a "trick".
I can do Gen I. II, III, and IV fobs but I have not tried anything with a "smart" (chipped) key fob.
