97 GTS Driver window won't go down

97 GTS Driver window won\'t go down

The drivers window on my 97 GTS won't go down. The switch is working, as the window will move an 1/8" to 1/4" when I flip the switch. I took the door panel apart today and there is a broken white plastic part (rectangular). A good chunk of it fell in my hand when I was gently prodding around behind the door. I assume what is left of this piece is what's jamming the window.

I can't get a good visual on the part, however. Anyone know what this part is and an "easy" way to replace it?

Never heard of that one- Sounds like its time for some surgery. Wish you well.

Go to your dealer and have the parts mgr. pull it up on the computer.

Did you check the weather stripping inside the door? Make sure it is not in the way of the window.

Thanks for pointing me to the parts manual... that's going to help figure out what part is broke. From what I can see, this is not going to be easy to fix, assuming I can even get the part...
