Looks dirty inside and outside.
Not well maintained.
And in the description: ...had a front end damage...

Looks like a good deal. If I was in the market I would try to inspect it in person prior to bidding. If its in good shape, its a steal.

I would suspect a "rebuilt" title, the prior damage is probably "under" stated.... But if it was fixed right and lookes good it could be a good deal for someone....

I tried to carfax that car last night, but it's an invalid vin #.

For some reason he replaced the last three characters of the real vin with "***"

There are 91 possible VIN combinations that would come up with the correct check digit. Since the VIN's production segment starts with 505xxx, and there obviously weren't over half a million Vipers made that year, I assume Dodge (or even Chrysler) mixes VIN serial numbers among all of its models. With an unlimited carfax account and a little web programming we can probably find out the VIN. Might be easier to just ask the guy though. :p

He's just trying to show how sticky the tires are. Plenty of tread still left or no way it could hold the road sideways like that.

<< This vehicle was registered in a county declared a flood disaster area by the Federal Emergency Management Agency ( FEMA ). >>

does this mean the car was registered in county declared a flood disaster area, but we DONT KNOW if it was flooded?

am i reading this correctly?

Hurricane katrina hit the AL, MS, NO area on August 29, 2006, salvage title issued Sept 16, 2005.

related? hmmm .....

this link to FEMA lists "Tuscaloosa, Al" as an area hit by Katrina, and a federal flood disaster area.

http://www.fema.gov/news/eventcounties.fema?id=4825

FEMA Tuscaloosa Hurricane relief news:

http://www.fema.gov/news/newsrelease.fema?id=20059

Salvage title related to flood damage? better hope not. i would not want any car involved in a flood. electrical problems are costly and are a royal PITA when they surface. electrical components dont like water, esp the polluted and salty kind.

owner in AL sold the car two weeks after salvage title was issued, to owner #3, who had car for only (4) months. owner #3 sold the car to owner #4 / current owner.

current owner has had car for only (5) months and is selling.

WHY is this car being bought and dumped so fast, twice after the salvage title was issued? looks very strange.

i am willing to bet you this car has big problems.

You must be registered for see images

what do you guys think?

Hey. If you like smashed and splashed and are willing to assume the risk of massive mechanical and electrical failure in the future, go for it - but you would still be considered a fool by many. Also, check the inside for strange smells. If it was flooded, there may be a few small creature carcasses still in there. LOL

Personally not intersted in buying as I'm very happy with my 02...

I believe that all vehicles registered in that county in that time frame have that FEMA warning. If it was actually a flood car wouldn't the title would be branded as "flood" simular to how they brand "rebuilt".

you could be 100% correct RO. but this part still makes me wonder if there is a problem:

"owner in AL sold the car two weeks after salvage title was issued, to owner #3, who had car for only (4) months. owner #3 sold the car to owner #4 / current owner. current owner has had car for only (5) months and is selling."

bad coincidence or actually Katrina relayed? who knows. add on top of that a salvage title, plus the concern that the car was photographed at night, and i say forget that one. bidding is now at $32,000. mileage is at 20,000 miles. i say find yourself a "clean" viper for $10,000 more with similar mileage and be able to get some sleep at night.
