I am looking into getting HIDs & I have a few questions

1. Was it worth the $
2. Did you do headlight & fog lights.
3. I am thinking about 6K I want best vision, not purple, What K did you go with, and do you wish you had gotton a diff K ?

Befor I drop 600.00 I want to make sure it was worth it.
Thanks
Andy

1. yes it was worth the money.
2.yes I did do headlight and fogs.
3.I also have 6000K and I think they look the best just a slight tint of blue and looks perfect, I have seen 8000K and they look great as well but a little more blueish so I like the 6000K better.

Good luck

If your gonna get them get em from Venomblue550.

AJT,

How's it going? Long time no hear!

To answer your questions from my perspective:

1) Definitely worth it from both a visibility and aesthetic point of view.

2) I did both.

3) I'm not sure what K-value I have, but mine is the HID setup that Sean Roe used to sell.

Take care!

I have the 10K and I love the difference. Worth the money, now I want to put some on my LX470.

No relay, easy install, did low beams only and jumped the relay so fogs, low and high beams can stay on together. Great results.

Couldn't justify 600x2 for the lows and fogs and have no regrets.

One thing to note is that 6000K is the max I'd recommend you go. Any increase in "k" value above that will get you looks, i.e. blue/violet/purple, but you'll actually get less light output.

6000K is what is in every good looking factory HID car out there now...Audi, Aston, BMW, the new Vette, Mercedes, Ferrari etc. etc. 4300K was the first HID used, you'll see these in the older Acuras, Mercedes, etc.

The 6000K will look great through the projectors, nice and white on the ground. The blue tint is actually a BYPRODUCT of the light output (kind of like a prism effect) that is a result of the beam cutoff. This is viewed only at a specific angle range in your field of view.

Thanks, I ordered 6000K fogs & headlights from Venumblue this morning. I really do not want purple lights & the main reason I ordered is for better lighting so 6K should be good.

These are 6000K lights...a bit purple...you would need to go down to a 4K range to get a better white.
