A spin around the block

I just can't believe the response I get each and every time I take my five year old car out for a spin. Tonight, just before sunset, I took the Viper out for a little spin around the block...

Every stop light, every intersection, at the gas station...everywhere I got the usual wave, thumbs up, and a kid in a pickup truck yelling "I love you." Now, that's a first!

I have driven Corvettes for years...straight axles, mid-years and so on, but never in my life have a received the attention that I get in my '97 GTS Coupe. The car still literally stops people dead in their tracks.

Anyway, I just wanted to remind folks that we are indeed fortunate to drive one of the most exciting cars on the planet.

I have a feeling that I'll still be getting all that attention even after the SRT comes out. Viper is #1!

I also had one yesterday - (Mutton pretending to be lamb), leaned out the passenger window and hollered at me "Nice car....and you don't look too bad either!"

Now that made a 50 yr old guy feel pretty good.

I was out for a test drive today in CNTW84U's (Bob's) '02 GTS Lethal 650, and a guy yelled, "SICK!!" That's "Cool!" or "Groovy!" or "Neato!" to you geezers out there.

I agree--nothing gets the looks or the hollers like a Viper. Makes us all feel like celebrities, doesn't it?

Yep, I get pictures taken almost everytime I go out. I had a Corvette, Porsche and Ferrari....yep 328, and none of them get the attention of the Viper.

Too bad we are the only ones that can live this life, once the new SRT10 **** arrives, they will want one of the Real Vipers 1992-2002.
