We keep hearing about Woodhouse and Tators but they are too far for many of us; we would like to hear about others. Any in Texas, Houston in particular? :dunno:

Yes to Texas,

Visit Tomball Dodge. Ask for Ben Keating. Viper racer and enthusiast - who also owns this dealership and several others!

I want to ask a question? I have been looking at Vipers, my wife's daily driver is a Z06. I sold my Z last year and have been driving our family car a SS Impala. Now my question, how many miles should a new Viper have on it when you buy it?

Mark Brown

This might be better posted by itself in the new owners section at the top.
I'll PM one of the moderators for you. My guess is you will get more response and this thread is for recommending dealership/services.:):)

How about one close to me in southeast Florida near the Coral Springs area.
The one I took it to before, decided to close the dealership (Fairbanks on Sample Road). Any assistance would be appreciative. Thanks.

I purchased my 1st Viper (a red/silver stripe 02 GTS) at Fairbanks Dodge in Coral Springs. I live in South West Florida and never took it back there are service. I never knew they closed the dealership there.

I bought my last two Vipers from Bill P at Woodhouse, the deals were so much better than I could get locally, it was still cheaper even with transporting them halfway acrossed the country. Bill, still waiting on that same kind of deal on an 08:sadpace:

As far as service, Mark at Woodhouse has managed to take care of me on a few ocassions even though I am very far away, he arranged for me to have the roof moulding repaired as well as send me screws to replace the ones that fell out of my gas cap.

I would also recommend Keene Dodge in Md for service, I have been there on a few ocassions and was treated very well and the Viper tech (name escapes me at the moment) was very professional and knowledgeable:2tu:

Roanoke Motors in Roanokle, IL is the place for me!
John Gastman is "THE MAN" that I have dealt with there. John is a great guy, not pushy and gets the deal sealed. No underlying costs or hidden surprises! :2tu:

I must say, from the folks in the Pa club, I have heard nothing but good things about John Gastman and Roanoke, and I keep hoping Denny has enough pull with John to hook me up with one of the killer deals he has managed for some of the other members. C'mon John convert me to a Roanoke alumni

I bought my ACR from Max Motors, Butler, MO. The salesman was
Todd Sommer. Great dealership too.

I picked up my extended warranty from Chuck Tator.

Would recommend both!

There are some terrific Techs out there , and a couple that are also worth mentioning are Dan Cragin ( DC Performance ) in the LA area, and Tom Sessions at D&E Dodge in Wilmington , North Carolina.

Dan is no longer with a Dodge Dealership, but for superior service in the Golden State, I can not think of anyone better to have work on your Snake.

Tom Sessions is a great friend and I recommended him to Skip Thomas years ago to be his Chief of Tech. Tom has earned friends around the States for his good natured , good ole Southern boy attitude, and many folks in the South rely on Tom.

As for Chuck , who says he is moldy, er ........I misread, they said they threw away the mold. He is topnotch and all of the guys above love Vipers, and that is the main ingredient as to why they do great work and have loyal followings. I used to joke with my customers on the East Coast that when you sent a car to Chuck he adopted your car. He is a fun character , just a little bit right of ultra right wing, but he would take care of Hillary Clinton if she owned a Viper.

Another good tech is Eddie Martin at Bill Luke in Phoenix, and he has worked on everything from stock Snakes to racing Vipers, so he is a great choice for folks in that area.

In Wisconsin, Cory Gehling at Snake -Oyl Products/Collector's Choice is also quite talented and a solid wrench on the Viper -- racing and street.

In Minnesota ( Duluth )you can not forget John Archer and crew at Archer Racing Accessories , with their solid race prep for Viper Days and beyond, these guys really know the Venomous beast we all love.

I may have gone a bit out of the realm , as many do not realize that some of these folks are not Dodge Dealers, but for alot of routine maintenance and other things they have years of experience and are well respected. Every listed will do what some consider mundane jobs like changing your oil, as they all have the same fever we exist under --- no cure, but who wants one?

Respectfully Submitted,
Bill Pemberton

Nice roll call there Willie da P. But you are missing a big time name.
Be careful when you go out to the Viper Service Area, he's a lot bigger than you.:omg:

Seriously.....Mark Jorgensen, Viper Service Manager at Woodhouse. Everyone else on this list is also a known Viper Genius Superstar Viper Tech.
But Mark is the only guy I know that answers his cell all weekend for ANY Viper owner. I have personally saved 3 Viper owners who were marooned on the road with that cell number. Some with heavily modded cars and the mods caused the problem. He always has the answer.
Now if we could just get Chuck Tator to CARRY a cell we could divide up the country into two emergency zones.
No disrespect to Dan or Tom or any of the guys Bill mentioned, they probably take cell calls on the weekend too, they are also top of the list.

I gotta post a positive about Warnock Dodge. They worked with me, hooked me up with a good deal and some goodies, had everything ready before I got there so my time in the store was limited. Thanks Rick and Scott for the great service. Scott I didn't get to meet you but thank you for providing Jon great info and for the bra to protect the front end for the trip.

My car was Purchased from a Local Dealer here in Omaha (Baxter) that I have purchased about 15 new vehicles since 1998. I work with thier Inventory specialist(Lee Brown) since he is in the know about Chrysler and thier vehicles. I think my next Viper purchase will be through Woodhouse though. They have so much knowledge and I would have no one else around service my car.

Since it's been a while since this thread was started maybe others have some dealerships and techs to add to this listing. Viper Bran who started this I must say I have forwarded this thread many times over. Great idea.

If you are in search of warranty information the dealerships listed would be a good source for quotes.

WOW, this post is dated.... several great dealerships listed are now CLOSED. I have owned ~15 Vipers. I will only post my good experiences:

ROANOKE is my unabashed favorite, bought Vipers and others there, so has my family;

I have also purchased from BUHLER and TOMBALL, and had great "helping" experiences from them even when I did NOT buy there. Ive not bought cars there, but I have had many good business dealings with WOODHOUSE, WARNOCK, and BILL LUKE.....ooops I did get a used car thru Luke! RINGGOLD is great, too. I wont mention the 2 now-CLOSED dealers where I bought 5 cars....too sad.....

I speak with our customers almost every day about their good or bad dealer experiences.
I found TURKEY DEALERS early on.....and they are everywhere! One disappointed me to the max. The informed Viper buyer will NOT get screwed, your experience may vary. So, if you are NOT as informed, use one of the dealers I noted with complete confidence.

GOOD LUCK....and when you buy a car, the next option is VCA MEMBERSHIP please.

I've not had good experiences with the Boston area techs when I lived there but that was a long time back. They couldn't do a simple oil change without screwing up.

I second Tators and would like to point out that Tator's Garage actually has 2 great Viper techs: the wizard himself and his amazing sidekick Rob.

anyone have a reference for a tech reasonably close to Northern Virginia. Used to go to Heffners years ago but he moved way south :)

Welcome to the VA/MD Region of the Viper Club of America.

You might try that site first and ask. Then go the VA/MA area and read up.
Only VCA members can post on that section but you can PM some that you see from your area. Kcobean might be the one that can help you and he is from that region.
You must be using the search since you posted on a few very old threads:)

Welcome to the site and hope you can join the VCA since it sounds like you have had your viper for a while.

Welcome to the site! There is a Viper tech here in the area who is no longer with a Dodge dealer, but is well liked by the local community. His name is Dwayne Smith and he is working at PBC Automtive at 703-818-9840.

If you have any questions about the local VCA Chapter, please let me know. My name is Kelly and I'm the VP for the region. We have a pretty active group and would love to have you join us!
