Ive been driving my GTS a lot lately and I seem to have a rattle coming from the accelerator pedal. I did a search and found the rubber band fix, but the thread didnt have any feedback as to if it works. Rubberband? Or is the Corsa exhaust too quiet...........

Everyone, this is Chucks fix.

Hi Jerry, I hesitated for a long time to tell anyone, especially to
someone technically minded as you. Stay with me if you can, as it is very
complicated. Move the gas pedal up and down, and notice the play in the
adjustment mechanism below it. Take a heavy duty RUBBER BAND(did I really
say that?)and slip it over the pedal. Slide it back to where it fits over
the mechanism and the pedal linkage. It holds the assembly together to
prevent the rattle. As you will see, it does not interfere with the
accelerator movement. The rubber band will stretch ONLY when you adjust
the pedal assembly, so just put the pedals where they normally are, and
install. You may need to wind the band over two or three times, depending
on the length of the rubber band. If it ever breaks, just install
another. Mind hasn't yet.

Have fun,
Chuck

Thank you Chuck, Ill try it this weekend and report back.
