Today I spoke with the salesman whom I bought my FE GTS from (we have ordered a 300C from him). At any rate, he told me that he has a source at CAAP that told him they have been working on a "new Viper" which will be powered by a V12 Hemi and put out 700 hp!! This is not the new coupe that everyone has been speculating about but a totally redesigned car altogether. The target release date is 2007. There will still be an SRT Coupe released in the near future but this "new Viper" will be something awesome. He was told that they have 16 mules that they have been testing.
Please, that is all I know and it is exactly what I was told. I certainly hope it is true, but who knows.

Hmmmmmmm a V12. Well, I would much rather have this as the "step-up" verson of the Viper then make a V8 and have the current Vipers be the high end models. I'm all for it.

Yup.... He was probably confused with the ME412. At any rate, the Viper wouldn't be a Viper without the V-10!!!

i agree most car salesman don't know about the cars they sell or cars in general for that matter. Currently I'm shopping new cars for my 16 year old son(oh boy!) and no matter what brands I look at the salesmen know much less about the cars than I do. Pretty pitiful.
