I'm am looking for advice/suggestions/experience on upgrading to adjustable rear shocks. I am looking to improve hook-up traction at the drag strip with street tires and also would like to improve the handling for autocross. I would be grateful for your experiences/suggestions. Thanks, Tim 97GTS

Why just the rears? Front shocks have a strong influence on performance too. Drag shocks are cheap and plentiful - mainly because they don't require a whole lot of imagination to set up proper valving.

Auto-X and road racing shocks come in 2- 3- and 4-way adjustable flavors. Lots of good values in 2-ways, but not all are easy to get to the adjusters on. Internal valve stack and piston combinations vary widely. Some are too stiff, some not stiff enough and some don't offer enough external adjustment range to fine-tune for a range of tracks. Best to go with those supplied by Viper racers who know that the car needs.
