Advice on car in classifieds.

Found a 1996 GTS in the classifids that I may be intrested in. The car has 99800 miles on it. If everything is in good condition and service has been kept up to date how long before this engine would need a rebuild? Another question is how much would a engine and transmission rebuild cost. Could it be done for 10k or less? The miles do not bother me I am just trying to get a feel for areas that would need specific attention in looking at this car. I appreciate any help offered.

You are not going to get alot of resposes from people with real-world experience, since most car dont have nearly that many miles.

fyi - you can get an arrow rebuild for less than 10K.

I have cars listed in my logs over 150k now so I would say its all a matter of how the car was treated beforehand. If this car was treated in the same manner that I treated my Z28 then I wouldn't hold my breath for it to start two times in a row.
