Due to overwhelming popular suggestions and tuning issues... I am going to switch my S/C '01 from a VEC to to an AEM system.

Where is the best place to get one?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Joe Donovan is in your backyard. he will also give you the best price. The mark-up on these by _most_ vendors is several hundred dollars... so if you don't shop around, 2800-3k will be the norm. 2400-2500 is a more reasonable price to find. Not sure what Joe sells them for but he's always been more reasonable than just about any other vendor.

Is Joe still in the business? Has anyone talked to him lately? I have tried to get the specs on the cam he installed in my car, can't seem to catch him at the shop.

Joe wasn't and isn't available for anything to do with any of my Vipers in any way shape or form. That is the reason for the switch to AEM and A.R.T, (beside the obvious...)

I have found a price of $2600 so far...

I was told he was getting rid of his shop, but I have heard of cars still being worked on also, not sure what to think. I know you are in a tough spot in terms of getting detail from him also tree, I assume you never got what you needed.

I am going to contact comp cams to see if they have any specs on my cam. Its a long shot I know. Would have been much easier if I woudl have gotten the spec card when I paid my bill!

In retrospect, I think we all would have done things differently knowing what we know now.

If ART is doing the work, Are they an AEM dealer or maybe have contacts with on they use.

What mods, inj size etc. and point me to the thread of your issues.

CompCams has the cam cards for ALL of their cams. If you have the #'s on the cam, call them and they'll give you the specs. depending on when you ordered it, you can even get that info on-line. it queries their database and spits out the cam card info.

good luck! sorry to bring up the PBJ stuff. I had no idea. I've always had good experiences w/ him. Both personally and professional.
