I have been lurking on this site for a couple of years now...I have always wanted to own a Viper and saved for several years to buy one. Once the money was at hand I went looking, but my wife convinced me that buying a Challenger was a better purchase due to my children. So... I bought the challenger but was never satisfied. Then when she started whining about the difficulty of getting the kids in and out of the back seat, I had enough. Can not tell you how fortunate I was to find the exact car, color, and low mileage Viper I was looking for, but to finally own my dream is wonderful...even if I do have to get divorced :) I want to thank all the guys on this site who took the time to talk to me and help last year during my search and let you know that even a man of modest means can own a dream... Thanks everyone.
As soon as I figure out how to post pics I will put them up. I now own a 2001 Bumble Bee and have not stopped smiling since purchase... (no longer have the challenger so if anyone needs a predator tuner for that car let me know)

once the wife sees how much happiness your viper brings you and your kids every time you go in the garage she'll be happy she let you get it :)

enjoy

Congratulations on the big purchase! I had Viper banners hanging in my garage for years as placeholders for my future car. Now that I have they're still hanging and they're right; that grin you have isn't going anywhere anytime soon, ESPECIALLY with a bee!

I went through the same familial process. I *almost* bought a 2010 GT500 for that reason. Admittedly I can only take one kid at a time, but my boys LOVE the Viper. My 12 year old is my copilot at VCA cruise-ins. Wait till they start asking you to take all their friends for a ride!!:D

Congrats on the purchase. I'm deployed right now, but i'm trying to learn as much as possible over the next year. Hopefully i'll be able to find what i'm looking for when I get back.
