First of all, I can't see the guides to install a new battery on a gen 2 gts, because I just registered.

My car came with an aftermarket headunit, and I'd like to add a JL 300/2 amp in the back. Does anyone have any pictures of the easiest method to running 8 gauge power cables to the battery?

Thanks

from what I've read, I need to take off the rear driver's side wheel, then fender liner to access the battery. is this correct?

Explaining Viper things to you
I would talk to a nicer stereo store for some of the hardware like firewall grommets etc for the cable. No sense doing a cheesy job penetrating your trunk, as if you drive or get caught in the rain it could leak and make a smelly trunk.

There's already a hole in the bottom of the trunk pan, driver's side just above the battery. Pull out the carpet and you can't miss it.

Wouldn't there be power there already used for the OEM amp? Perhaps not enough capacity for the new unit?
