I made the mistake of letting my brother in law take my viper out for a "spin" and when he came back this light is now lit and won't go away. He swears he didn't do anything when he drove it, especially activating the alarm. However, I can't get the light to go off and was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them and how they were able to turn it off.
It's a 94 RT-10 with a newer battery in it.

Mine was coming on at random times, even while driving. Then, I noticed that the alarm couldn't be turned off via the key fob, and the car wouldn't start. Had to replace the alarm module and the entry module, and all has been fine since.

If you re-sycro the key fob, sometimes that works.

Press both buttons at the same time, horn chirps...then disarm the alarm and start the car.

I too had to replace the module at one point in time. I have seen the alarm system do funny things when I drove through hurricane weather at VOI 7...or after I wash the engine bay. Water and wiring don't mix very well.
