well, this should be the week!

Last week i got the vortech supercharger setup that i bought from joe barrett installed on my car. we kept the intercooler off the car, and fired it up to see if we needed to adjust the belt. the belt kept moving forward and was rubbing on the steering rack. we noticed that the front of the supercharger pulley and the front of the crank hub were about 1/4" apart. so we machined 0.20" off of a metal plate that the supercharger attached to. got everything installed back on the car, and it ran perfect! again, we kept the intercooler off of the car, and do these things blow! stuff was flying all over, banners were coming off of walls, it was GREAT! lol!

anyway, we have a few more minor things to work out this week, then i am hoping to dyno the car at weeks end. i cant wait to be SC'd!

thanks to everyone for all the advice and wisdom you have provided me in order to get to this point! i will keep you posted! :2tu:

John,
Try to contain your excitement! Remember, superchargers were cool 3 years ago but not anymore!!!! :D Can't wait to see what kind of numbers you'll put down. I'm STILL waiting for mine! When we're all tuned and ready to go, we'll have to round up the 3 SC Vipers and take a cruise! Must be nice to finally have things up and running again! Take care!
