Anybody hardwire a IPOD to stock Radio?

Even though I’m a big MAC guy, I just now bought an IPOD for myself. I helped a great friend get one and bought another for myself and the little Nano for my niece. I bought the cigarette adapter to use it in the SRT/10 but wonder had anybody tried a non-wireless hook up?
