Anyone have any articles on Vacuum and Volts?

Trying to get a better understanding of vacuum and volts during acceleration and deceleration. I know under load vacuum should be essentially zero. While decelerating is vacuum nonexistant or negative? At idle vacuum should be around 12ish in.?


Don't have a clue as to how volts relate to vacuum in different rpm ranges and load conditions. Any good references out there?

Are you talking the map sensor voltage in relation to vacuum ? Come off that wallet....sell a few horses for dawg food and get some boost going on

I just bought an electrical driven (with 0-4.5 volt logger signal out) vacuum/boost gauge to match my fuel pressure gauge. This would answer all your questions. I now will have a/f, rpm, fuel pressure and vacuum on the same printout.

Jack, did you get an A-pillar pod for the extra gauges? What size and brand did you go with?

I just ordered the vacuum/boost gauge today. I already had the fuel pressure. They both are the new Autometer series. They are 2-1/16 dia and as stated they both have the logger output. I plan on ordering the pod from Elite tomorrow.
