Anyone have interesting info on 1998 GTS\'s?I

I just bought a 1998 GTS and as any person with a new car, would love to hear any uniqueness (sp?) regarding it. Would love to know the differences no matter how small...

I do know that it was first year for headers (saved like 5 lbs and added a couple HP?)

How about the hood louvers and NACA scoop on the hood. I thought those were new for 98'. The "bright silver metallic" was also a new color.

98 stuff.........

First year for:
Textured dash, Small "Viper" on sill covers, Airbag cutoff switch, alarm reset switch, new vendor on rim polish...(the best 17",) headers are 24 lbs lighter, and make +4-5 (unclaimed) HP.

After ~98.3 a RDC added a fan and PCV upgrade. (all 96-97-98.3 need these!) GT-2 added to line. RTs became monochrome only.

Gerald, I bought a new 98 red GTS and would be happy to fill you in on anything you need to know about the car. I have the window sticker, a couple of 98 brochures from the dealer, and know pretty much the car's idiosyncracies. Did I spell that right? Heh heh. pete the ex=glass guy.
