While my car is at Dougs I thought it would be a good idea to put a roll bar in. I have decided on an Autoform for the OEM hard top. If I put a roll bar in I might as well put on harnesses. My questions are..

1. I assume 6 point are better?
2. Do they pull back out of the way for street driving?
3. (Poser Question) I have a red RT10, What color combo looks good with red..ie color pads, nylon belts, pull tabs?

Any pictures would be appreciated.

Does it ever end???

Thanks
Andy

It never ends, for a street car 5 point are better. Black webbing with red pads and black pulls would be my choice.

Send me your email address, I'll send you a picture of rollbar and Teamtechs. I tried to post, however, I believe the site is still having upload problems.

I love the look of the team techs but not happy with the way they fit! They are very uncomfortable to me. and you can hide them behind the seat!

I appreciate the responses. It is hard buying parts unseen.
NCVCA I was thinking red & black with a different color pull string.

Jack B I sent you email

Are there a better fitting brand?
At least I can hide them when not in use.

Thanks
Andy

the fit is a personal/relative issue, they fit me perfectly. I took out the oem belts and use the lower Teamtech belt on the street. I didn't like the idea initially, however, I don't miss them at all now.

You may want to look at the BTR rollbar, the advantage is that it has a removaable side bar that makes you legal on an NHRA strip. I installed the bar myself and it was as though it was an oem part, it went in perfect and fast.

Suggest getting both the 5 point and 6 point harnesses.

Cost very little extra and lets you use 5 on the street if you like and 6 on the track. I find 6 much more secure, especially with the design of the OEM Viper seat and the mounting position of the 5th point.

Team Techs fit me fine.

I am also looking into BTR's rollbar but I do like the hoops on the autoform bar a little better than the BTR's. Can you move your seat all the way back & lean it back without hitting the roll bar? I understand that Autoforms roll bar hits your seat when reclined???

Does anyone have team techs web site?? I did a search but I can't find it??

Thanks
Andy

I'm not crazy about Team Tech. Uncomfortable and too many straps and buckles. Reminds me of my early high school days... :)

Just give me a simple 5-point Simpson. It'll do the job as good as any and it's one of the most reputable names in racing.
