Anyone in Houston have a Brake Tool I Can Borrow

I am going to change my pads this weekend, anyone have a tool I can borrow?

I have an 02 RT/10, I was told this takes a tool. I will go ahead & order tool with EBC greens. I have done 20-30 ford brake jobs & 20 -30 Chev. jobs, but never a Dodge.

Is there anything special I need to know about doing a Viper brake job?
Do the pistons push in like a GM, or do they twist in?
Is it better to use a floor jack, or jack provided with car on lift points?
Any other tricks to it?
I read on an earlier
post that the torque setting is 90 - 100ft lbs. Is this right?

I just did my 96 gts pads and changed the brake fluid. The job is easy and shouldnt take long at all with all the other times you have done pads.

1 the fronts are easy just pop out the pin push in the calipers
and put new pads in.
2 the rears use the tool or a the needle nose and turn it back in . i think it went in clock wise.
3 the torque is 90-100 i go to 100 for track use.

Just use a different tool... I too got suckered into ordering this tool - for a whopping $40 or $60 - it arrives - and I laugh...

If you want - I could send mine down to you - but I have a feeling that you could make something else work... Plus - after shipping - then we would have wasted even more on this precious little Viper tool...

Oh, just remembered, the tool has a name - and any tire shop should have the tool... Sorry, can't remember what they called it... But they did tell me that every shop should have one - see if you can borrow it from a shop for a while if nothing else works...

Referring to an old post, I believe Tony-Vipermad used a 15MM socket to make the tool. I used needle nosed pliers with success myself.

you can also put speed bleeders in, open them and that will allow the piston to push in without much pressure at all.

does the rear piston turn in clockwise or counter-clockwise?
