Anyone in NY City Area to look at a car?

Found this car on Autotrader. I love it, but am very cautious due to the price. I have been in contact with the seller. He says he's the original owner. Nothing crazy came up on carfax search except that it was not registered in '03 or '04. Can anyone in the area check it out for me or at least refer me to a very reputable person that can? too cheap...something wrong..Ask him if you can have a dealer look the car over..Tators dodge is only 35 min away..worthwhile inspection fee if you ask me..

Rgr that. And I agree. What do I do? Call the dealership and let them know the dude will be coming over and how to contact me? I've never done it through a dealership before.

I would call tators and ask Chuck for a price on buyers inspection on car and goe from there..There is nobody better than the wizard!

I have heard good things about the Wizard from some of the posts I've read. Didn't realize he was a dealer. Sounds like a good plan.

Wizard has access to DC records and can get history of car..also hes best qualified to see if shes been wrecked or hit and repaired and repainted..don't mess around..Call Tators..Hes just a skip away from Bronx..

Still worth the $$ if all that was done was a facia repaint, but I'm sure there's more to the story. I saw this listing on eBay for $47,000 "Buy it now" when I was shopping for a car a few weeks ago. 2 owner car.

I emailed the guy and asked "why so cheap?" We'll see what the reply is. Interesting about the fascia. I can't tell personally. If coorespondence continues I'll be sure to ask. I did ask originally if it had been painted and he didn't answer the question. That threw up a red flag. Assuming it has been in some sort of accident nothing came up on the CarFax report. So, I guess that means it wasn't a bad accident. I still won't buy it though.

There's a lot of us who are around. But you're getting good advice. The price is too low...especially since he's even including the $450 hard top rack.

I hear ya. I'm leaning more and more towards a scam. I've asked for an address three times and still haven't received one. He keeps replying, but no address. Makes sense if he doesn't want me or anyone to actually see the car. It's turning into too much trouble too, but I'll keep pushing, if nothing else than for fun.
