You guys could set it up like an airplane partnership. 1/2 each for down pmt, 1/2 each for payment. Install a Hobbs (hour) meter and predetermine an hourly rate. At the end of some time frame, say 3 months, settle up using percentage cost/usage (maintenance, insurance, etc.)
