Hi everybody! I'm not a Viper owner yet, but hopefully I will be soon. Last week I decided that I wanted a really really fast car. After a lot of research and talking to people, I realized that a Viper is the only way to go. Luckily I found this forum and have been reading (almost 7 hours a day) for the past 3 days. I get the impression that Viper owners are a very tight knit group of people. I get the impression that Viper owners are very proud of their Vipers (and this is exactly what i'm looking for). I just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully I will be a Viper owner soon and will get to meet some of you fine people.

If there is anyone in Southern or Northern California that would be interested in Viper shopping and lunch sometime I would love to invite you out (my treat of course).

Shopping? Hmmmm. Are you female? If so, I'm interested. ;)

No, but I am wondering how many female Viper owners there are out there. Are women allow to drive stick (manual transmission, not the other kind)?

(To the women reading this, I'm just kidding)

I'm in the Bay Area and would be willing to go looking with you. I love checking out cars, negotiating, etc.

You should spend more time looking for cars...hehe

Just kidding, welcome to the site. Whatever Viper you buy will be a good one. Well, unless you buy one that isn't red. :smirk:

You won't regret getting a Viper. I bought my 2000 ACR 8 months ago and can't believe how much fun I've had.

I really can't wait to get one! Please check your *** and emails. Right now I'm looking for the best deal possible. From what I'm seeing there is a lot of price variations. I'd like to purchase one that is in CA but will consider out of state. So private parties, dealers, anybody in CA would be great. Any advice on where to look and what to avoid? I really love the PS6: Steel Gray and hope to find one in my price range. I don't really have a set price range but just want to get the best price possible. But I'd probably fall in love with the car after seeing it and spend too much on it. That's why it would be best of I had someone knowledgeable there with me to keep me grounded.

If anybody knows of a good deal please let me know.

Also, how do you guys feel about GTS vs RT/10? I'm not considering the SRT-10 mostly because it's not as aggressive looking (it looks bland) as the Gen I and II Vipers. But I can't decide between the GTS and the RT/10. On one hand, I really want a convertible. On the other hand I don't like the rear of the RT/10 and the curves on the GTS are just awsome! What do you guys think?

Don't say the "B" word. The folks with srt's get reeeeeally touchy about that word. :D

Also, as a friendly warning... don't takes sides on the stripes/no stripes issue. :D
