I was cleaning up my wheel wells like a few of you guys were doing and I noticed these bushing are shot. These are the supports for the rear stabilizer. The manual said that you need a special tool to remove these otherwise they can be damaged. My question is has anyone done this themselves and is this sp[ecial tool needed?
Thanks

Gary,

The damage will take place on the treads if you just hammer them out. But since you are replacing them, it does not matter. The special tool would be required if you were going to reuse them.

Simple hand tools will get the job done.

very easy to replace. i did all four of mine last year.

first undo the nuts on the support. smack the end of the stabilizer bar hard enough with a hammer, and they pop right out. beating on the support does no good. if i remeber right, the stabilizers werent very expensive.

Now I have top decide if it's worth all the moola. Do you guys think it's effecting my ride quality in any way? The car seems to drive fine but gets a little squirley at higher speeds.

Thanks!

I was going to replace mine a couple months ago until I talked to chuck and the price made me think..."eh...they aren't THAT bad yet"
