Autotap

I have AutoTap it works on a Viper but seems kind of flaky. Gets disconnected for no reason at times

You could try Roe Racing, they sell something similar (for all I know it's the same thing) I just would recommend something other than AutoTap if you can find it.

Does anyone here have any recent experience with using the Autotap tool on their Viper? A search on the BBS revealed this topic was discused about a year ago but there didn't seem to be much feedback either positive or negative. My brother and his Vette friends seem to like the tool. Does it work the same on the Viper?

I bought autotap for the vette a few years back...its in the garage and now I guess I'll have to see if the same interface
is on the Viper....anyone buy it for the Vette and now have a Viper?

We use http://www.obd-2.com/ this all the time when tuning and it works great, very useful datalogging features -and you can clear codes. Works fine on my 96 GTS.
