Hoods either not closed all the way, or miss aligned.

Noticed it right away in the 1st photo.

I have to say that i have never seen 2 vipers with the same exact hood/front fascia gap....not too sure this ACR is unusual.

I dont think I've ever seen a Viper with perfect gaps and alignment.

VERY nice.

I'm not a yellow fan, but something about it on a Viper is unbelievable

Nice car. Like Blue better. Biased. :) Most cars that I have seen are more misaligned on the driver side than passenger. This flows with this car as well. Would not be too concerned with it. Not that bad.

It is impossible to say from the pics, but, that looks a lot like an '01 ACR that was for sale at a dealer here in KC about 6 months ago. The year, mileage, and HOOD alignment look the same. When I saw the car in person it appeared to have been wrecked. Could be a different 4300 mile, '01 ACR. To any prospective buyers-be careful. The rest of the car looked as a 4300 miler should, but, the hood looked off a little too much.

You know....the stripes on my ACR are aftermarket, and I guess that's 'ruined' the collector value of the car, but I really like the Bumblebee alot better than just yellow. Still a beautiful car though!

Those pictures are from an ebay ad a while back. That fascia alignment is off, especially in between the headlights where it meets the hood.

My hood/facia sit very similar to this one. If the facia were any higher, it would sit above the bottom of the headlights. I'm puzzled about what to do about it, as it seems like the facia is in the right place (based on its' relation to the headlights), but you can see the cutout on the drivers side for the hood release in mine too. Very annoying.

You may be missing some shims, almost every Viper fascia I have dealt with has had shims under the three center X-mas trees in the center of the fascia. When there are not installed the hood sits higher than the fascia. A lot of times when someone takes the fascia off to be repainted or touched up, they never re-install all the shims and/or X-mas tree plugs.

I didn't notice any alignment issues with yours Kelly, but I also didn't look closely at it. Getting a real good alignment can be quite time consuming, but it's definitely worth it.

^^ Interesting info. Thanks John. Do those shims cause the facia to actually sit higher in the middle (between the lights)? That would certainly solve my issue, as the gap on the outside of the headlights is pretty close (closer on the drivers side than the pass. side.) My fascia was likely removed when the stripes were applied. Wouldn't surprise me if those shims were left off.

Yes! I would bet they never put the shims back on. Easy fix.

Still stand by what I said, I think that alignment is off, and even though its a good paint job, I wouldnt be suprised if it had been wrecked before and not aligned right.
