I currently have the setup described in my sig. I run 150-200 shot nos on the car at the track. i will be doing a roe blower with the nos very soon too. i want to get a header set that will compliment these mods the best. I will be doing the install myself so fitment is a must. I currently have straight pipe in place of the cats. GONE. so what can i expect timewise on the install. who has the best price on these headers you recommend too. thanks in advance.

Not that I dont value your opinion stugots, but i would prefer to take a little more suggestions, and preferably from people currently running the setup they are promoting. B&B was one of the header setups i was looking at. how bout bellangers? edelbrock? svs? borla?... even in the running?

The B&B's are awesome. The fit is excellent, and the quality is very good. I ran into no problems installing.

i heard to stay away from bellangers if i plan on going the roe blower route? makes more torque but less horsepower over other choices. David weaver mentioned this to me on the viper alley forum. anyone running the bellangers with the roe blower with less than spectacular numbers?

well the reason I said something is I talked to the TOP tuners and all agree B&B are the best, I did all this research before I bought my B&B cat back.

I talked to tuner after tuner and member after member on here (look back and see all my posts about header/exhaust combo's) im tryin to give you what my research found out to save you time.

BTW belanger headers give good power BUT I heard they are not made out of the best material for the long haul but then again some guys on here got good power out of them and they work fine but you best bet is with B&B.

and as far as catbacks go B&B,corsa, borla and some guys have the cat delete it just depends on they sound you want because most give the same HP numbers.

I was lucky I got to hear most of the cat backs in person at Chucks and this is what I found out corsa sounds alot like rice, boirla is deep and throaty but I liked the B&B sound th best out of all however I never heard belanger or cat delete sounds.

Good luck hope this helps with your exhaust combo search.

If you are installing yourself, I know the Belangers went on easy for me. The reason I chose the Belanger steel headers with ceramic coating was that they are known to fit well; they are suppose to keep the underhood temperatures lower; less chance of leaks with the tri-Y design rather than the slip tube arrangement on some of the SS headers; less chance of cracking since the steel can flex better than the stainless steel and you give up the flex joint when you add headers. At that time, most people also seemed to like the lower tone a steel header gives over the sound of a SS header.

I have no experience with any of the other headers, so I can't really compare. That is just what I found when I was doing my own comparison shopping.

I do find the statements about performance issues with the Roe SC setup rather difficult to believe though. Can anyone give any actual performance differences on the same car? Sean sells B&B, so he's going to be a little biased :D

ken, read my same post on the viper alley site. dave weaver i believe replyed how he and larry macedo, and another tuner got together,"SCRATCHING THEIR HEADS" about how they got such lower torque numbers on 2 modded viper with the exact same mods, roe blower, cam, heads... but one had bellangers and the other tnt. tnt put out what these guys considered normal for the mods, but bellanger did not? look i didnt write it but macedo and these others are well respected tuners here so maybe they want to express what the saw, concluded.

Sean Roe sells B&B headers and that was what he recommended to me when I installed the supercharger. The installation was not difficult and the fit was exactly right. I did send them to Jet Hot coatings prior to the install.

V10Kingsnake,
Thanks, interesting read. I'll definitely be interested in the direct comparison in the headers when they complete the test. I would think that if the Belanger headers become a restriction, that would be true on all forced induction setups and not just the Roe SC setup.

not nessesarily true ken. the post on the viper alley suggests both cars had identical mods except for the headers and also says there graphs are identical until high rpm when the horses and torque drop off too soon on the belangers. roe blowers make there power differently then say nitrous power, paxton, etc. each have there own distinct power band so to say. so even if belangers are not the right choice for the roe setup they could be for nitrous, stock, or paxton. thats why i wanted to hear from more people. :smirk:

Florida,
Hey great! I just bought Belanger.
Maybe I will just run with open pipes to make up the difference from B&B. My neighbors will love it and the fumes will keep my wife alseep on long rides!
