Guys;

I am considering the full Bellanger exhaust package on my 06' Viper Coupe. That is the Headers, Hi-Flo Cats and Cat-Back Exhaust with no Cross-over. First off, has anyone had any experience with this system? Impressions? Easy to install? Loud, etc.?

Regardless, this leads me up to my question. Has anyone ever Anodized Black the exhaust tips? I do not want to have a Chrome ring there as then it looks like I did something to it. I want a sleeper look so that someone has to do a double or triple take to see that the exhaust is just a bit different. A chrome tip sends the signal right away and is not what I want.

Anyone with experience in doing this, how does a Black Anodize hold up to the heat?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Almost all of the tips out there get dirty and dark anyway. The Mopar Race exhaust has a very raw, 'business-looking-cut-pipe' tip (not polished). I love mine.

There wont be any sleeper effect if you have headers and exhaust. It will scare people. Unless its parked. At first i didnt want the polished tip either. More just the look thing. But know I love them and try to always make sure they are polished up before a drive.

And if you just never wipe your tips,they will be black in a few days. They get dirty quick.

Your in a Viper ....... how can you possibly have sleeper effect ? Now if you came up in a neon then okay, but most have to expect you have a bit of power lurking under that hood .:2tu:

Sleeper effect is my personal taste and more for against all the Ferraris, Porsches, Vettes, Vipers and other exotics of which for some strange reason, seem to be in real high numbers here this part of Colorado. The weather was almost 85 here today and it was like there was a mandiatory, drive your exotic day.

I guess I was trying to say that eventually I will have a supercharger set-up, etc. in addition to the exahust mods and from the outside I want it to look bone stock. Of course it will not sound, nor drive bone stock but it will look that way from the outside.
