Bleeding brakes on a 2008 Viper . . .

My Viper Tech will be installing Stoptech stainless steel brake lines and Motul RBF 600 brake fluid on my 2008 Viper in the next few weeks. I have seen from prior posts that using the Motul will require more frequent "brake bleeding." I am generally familiar with the function of brake bleeding but have never done it on my 2006 nor my 2008. Can someone give me a quick tutorial or a link on how to do this at home on an 08 Viper? Is there special equipment needed or recommended for doing this in the home garage?

Are there any specific issues with bleeding Viper brakes I should be aware of? Likewise, are there any helpful tools or equipment for making the job easier? (I have seen people refer to a product called speed bleeders but have no idea what they do or how they do it.) Is there a product that would allow you to bleed the brakes without having someone pump and depress the brake pedal?

You can buy a vacuum bleeder and do this yourself. The only problem is you will not ever be able to "really bleed all the fluid and air from the system without using a DRB3 scan tool from Dodge to activate the ABS module while bleeding. You will have old fluid and possibly air in the system if not done "correctly".

With the Motul RBF 600, my plan is to bleed the brakes before each driving school/HPDE event. I currently plan on doing 3-4 spread out from April through October this year. (I also plan to do about 3-4 novice autocross events but I am assuming that an autocross event will not generate the speeds and thus high temps associated with air/boiling brake fluid.)

In your opinion, in order for me to make sure that the brakes are bled correctly should I just have my Viper Tech do it? Do you know roughly how much a proper brake bleeding goes for?

If it were my car I would have the tech do it because he will have access to the DRB. The time allotment for a full flush and bleed is 1.8 hours using the DRB scan tool.

Thanks Mark! For just bleeding just 2-3 times per year I may just go the dealer route.
