All right guys..im just trying to figure out how far a gen 2 viper can go with bolt ons alone..

I love heads and cams as well as SC's and TT's...

but theirs just somthing great about looking in that highly modded V8's or supras eyes and telling you beat him with a stock engine bolt on viper..LOL..

So this is what im thinking and i just wann see how close i am..

Stock gen 2 dynos 410 rwhp and 460 rwt on average and will run a 12.2 at 118 mph on average right...

smooth tubes..good for 5-7 rwhp

high flow cat...good for 5-7 rwhp

cat delete...good for 10-13 rwhp

1.7 roller rockers...good for 15-20 rwhp

shorty headers...good for 15-20 rwhp

long tube headers...good for 20-30 rwhp

3 inch after market exhaust...good for 10-15 rwhp???? Not sure on this one

vec2/3 or AEM...good for 15-20 rwhp...

What other bolt ons am I missing?????????????????

So lets say you go with the..

-smooth tubes 6 rwhp
-cat delete 12 rwhp
-1.7 roller rocker 17 rwhp
-long tube headers 25 rwhp
-3 inch after market exhaust 12 rwhp
-and a AEM 17 rwhp

Isnt that good for around 89 rwhp...Putting you right around 500 rwhp with bolt ons only...

Wouldnt that stock gen 2 go from running 12.2 at 118 mph to 11.5 at 125 mph with these bolt ons...

Or are my nubers wayy off from people who have actually went this route.

For what its worth, I got 448RWHP and 478RWTQ on a mustang dyno (search "Dyno Results") my '01 creampuff RT/10 with the following bolt on mods:

- Borla 1 5/8" stepped headers
- B&B Hi-Flow metallic-substrate Cats and B&B 3" Catback exhaust
- Smooth Tubes
- K&N Filters
- NO tune of any kind and no internal engine mods.

After sending my dyno results to DC Performance the feedback was the car was pretty much tuned perfectly. I have to believe, based on other posts that I've read here, that also performing the roller rockers and VEC tune that 500rwhp is more than possible. I'm now installing Belanger headers, RT cats and Belanger catback exhaust. I'll post dyno results soon. I don't have a baseline dyno for stock configuration unfortunately.

But if you re read my post the last mod was AEM or vec tuning...

With eitehr a Vec or AEM, I think you can pick up 40-50 with the right tune. AEM is good to have if you think of up grading to S/C or turbo later. I think with the bolt-ons you isted, you should be north of 500/500.
