What can you tell me about Borla headers for a Gen I. How is the installation? What kind of HP & Tourque gains can I expect. Already have Roe Racing HF cats and exhaust. :usa:

If you get the ones I am thinking of ;) , They are the same as the ones on my 96. I have heard of problems with this particular design, but I have not had any yet. If you do get these, I would suggest you sht can the flex pipe and turn out. I cut off the collector and shape/welded a 3" pipe, turned it for the hook up to the cat(no cat for me, but it would be in the same place  ) Flows much better, if you look into the Borla setup, you would see what I mean. Good luck,

I was told that some of the 94's had a larger frames than others and that some headers would bang against the larger frames. I wonder how to tell what the size differences are.

Interesting, Gottaviper. Are the larger frames an improvement? ie '94-95? I had a ruff time putting Belangers on my '95. I picked up 20hp after (already had hiflows and racing muffs).

Seems like my '94 RT/10 frame was 2"x 5", while my 2002 GTS frame is 2"x 4".

I spent a few hours under the '94 eight years ago welding up an exhaust mod from about $100 worth of tubing that netted 25hp (not headers)

And that car already had no cats, and straight thru mufflers... :)

(guess what's on my 2002 GTS now?)
