Your EBC-GREENS are even a decent Auto-X pad, as heat does not hit roadcourse temps. Or, you might choose EBC-RED in front, and still have a good street pad, with much less dust than stock, but more dust than green.

As far as bedding new pads on scored/worn rotors, the answer is NOT always simple. "It Depends" is the best answer. Depends on how badly the rotor is scored.... If you fail to bed new pads properly onto old rotors, braking will be diminished. Maybe greatly diminished until bed-in ! And EBC-GREENS require a simple rotor-prep if going onto used rotors...

EBC makes Yellow or Blue for pure track use. And they are INEXPENSIVE! You could also choose Brakeman #3 (Woodhouse or PartsRack) or Porterfield (Bontempi or PartsRack) as well...

One solution, since rotors are "consumables": StopTech Aero rotors ($175 ea ...see PartsRack IRS Special!) and appropriate pads, kept on the shelf to be used for track events, with the track pads marked and mated to the exact rotor surface.......And keep a set of cheap ($99ea) OEM rotors and EBC Greens for "all other" uses! This formula gets max use of OE and StopTech equip, without "wasting" StopTech rotor life on the street!

Maybe I'm cheap, or hate waste, but the above combo saves $$ in the long run for a Viper that is, well, DRIVEN !!!
