I noticed at the track a few weeks ago that my Ripper shifter felt strange... got worse and worse until I could barely shift.

I pulled the console apart last week, and I noticed that the Ripper linkage had broken - it is welded on the horizontal shaft where it moves to the left before going up into the shift ball. It would ROTATE and pivot around the shaft coming up from the shifter rather than actually shifting - NOT good!

I called B&M and they said they had never heard of such a failure. Ron was very helpful and said they would exchange it no questions asked. They did not have any available however, so my local parts store stepped up to the plate and offered to replace it for me, and let B&M credit them.

I'm not happy it failed, but it feels a LOT better now, and I have to give credit to B&M and Indy Auto Parts in Peabody MA for helping out and taking responsibility in this situation - both stand up organizations!
