all in all the car did really well. He seemed to loose his ground when he shifted. Seemed like he was shifting kinda slow. Other than that the bike really didn't pull him that much while they were both on the gas.

Thanks for the vid.

Yea I shifted like a [******]. That wing hurt me quite a bit as well. There will be a rematch and I will win.

Direct quote of what I said when I posted the video on other forums: Now you know some more of the story behind the video...

He beat me pretty bad the first time cause I granny shifted like a [******] and then lifted in 5th @ 160mph or so due to some debris on the side of the road, then got back on it.

2nd run was a lot closer, but I still granny shifted. (***I missed a gear and overrevved the engine a day earlier so I was still a little skiddish during the shifts since that event was still fresh on my mind..)

Also note on both runs I got a 1/2 car length jump on the bike on the start. We tried the 3 honk the first time, but that could not be heard over the exhaust note, so he jsut waited for me to start.

Some shoulda-woulda's on my part

1. Should have powershifted instead of ****-shift I think that would have knocked at least a car length off of the second run and 2 in the first run. I lost a LOT OF GROUND due to the shifts.

In my defense.. this was the first time over 140 in the car and I was being a little careful. I did not know how the car was going to feel at these speeds.. Next time I will be more agressive, but I was a [******] in the video....

2. Should have got a better camera man on the side of the road. However I do not know how well I would have captured two vehicles passing by at close to 180 myself....

no shame in the results from the race or even your shifting. Not many would have even taken the race more or less taken the car to those speeds.

good luck next time and be safe.

Not sure if you want to be power shifting a car with your kind of power anyway. Why risk it for a street race. Miss the gear, potentially blow up your engine or worse, lose control of the car at high speed.

I shifted pretty slow when I raced the multi-Busas last year. I had a little more power than what you are showing, but a lot more weight due to the body kit (3,850 pounds without me in the car.) I also raced a stock Busa and yours had a few mods on it, so you did well.

You got some nuts racing at those speeds in traffic, though. Out here in cali, too damn many helicopters flying around that would see that, and we'd be on the local news channel - HA!
