Hi everyone,

I'm about to purchase a 2000 GTS but the warranty has run out and the owner did not extend it. I called my local dealership and they mentioned that I could buy warranty from them since the car was low mileage. They will have to do an inspection of the car before they sell me the warranty. Here's the catch... the car has a carbon fibre intake, Borla exhaust, slotted rotors and upgraded pads. Can they deny selling warranty to me because of these mods? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Question: What should insurance on a stock 95 RT/10 be with about 30,000 miles be ? Nothing wrong with everything in at least good condition.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I haven't picked up the viper yet since the roads are covered in salt and all ;)

So since I'm in Canada and all the referals are from the states, can I still purchase warranty from them? Is there a difference if I buy it here or the states?

My 2 cents here.. While you may get a warranty through any dealer, it would make sense that you'd check with your local dealer that will be performing the warranty work.. Otherwise as some fellow enthusiasts have found out that your warranty won't be worth a plug nickel. There are plenty of service writers out there that look for reasons to disqualify a car. Just imagine pulling in with your new warranty and bam, the dealer refuses to touch it because of aftermarket mods, which Dodge Corp will back em on. Do a search here on the boards and you can read about a couple people who ran into this exact problem. I would say once your local dealer offers a warranty though, that you go to tator to buy it as he will probably make you an awesome deal.

Don,

A gentlemen from Canada was going to buy my RT10 w/ warranty, but I believe he called and his Canadian dealership told him the U.S. warranty would be voided. You might want to double-check that!

Either Tator or Pemberton will give you the straight truth on whether buying it in the US instead of Canada will make a difference. It's a CHRYSLER warranty so I doubt it, but what do I know? You should call one of them anyway to get an idea on price or you may get killed.
