Just wanted to let all you Viper owners who helped me ( special thanks for Kurt Crawford), that I will no longer post anything with my old "NoViperYet" Username.

As of last saturday I bought a 1993 Red R/T 10, with 7651 miles from SC. Drove it home to Dallas, TX in 2 days, without any problems, I even got (as best) 24.2 miles per gallon. Spun only once 180 degrees (with the help of my co-pilot) Hah, Haa!!

Car is bone stock, but I am looking already to put silver stripes on it....

Many thanks again for everybody, It was a pleasure to be here as a non Viper owner,looking for answers, but I quess, now the real fun starts... I will be posting later with a new Username.

As you already know, the people who frequent this BB are the best source of experience and knowledge.

Now, as JonB says, "go join the VCA". The North Texas VCA is a very active group and we just elected a wonderful new president Kingman Hitz, who is very well known in the Viper world. We have lots of activities planned this year, which should provide you with the opportunity to get involved. Again, congrats and see ya at the next event/meeting.

Welcome Laurie ! I became somewaht infamous for my reply "THE YEAR MATTERS" on the old Socal website. { I got annoyed that I could not help folks who simply posted "My car does _____." }

No year "matters" more than 1993 ! Over 200 changes occured from vin 001 to 1055. And I learned many by putting 40xxx miles on my 93, many of them on the racetrack.

E-me for BURPING INFO (very very important, esp on 92-93) and any other newbee stuff you may need. But FIRST, pop $100 for VCA membeship to 1-800-998-1110.
