To make a long story short, mainly on the advice from this board, I got in contact with Bill Pemberton (great guy) and am purchasing a 2004 SRT-10, with K&N intake, borla exhaust, a 3/4 inch drop and a 3.73 rear.

Can I get an amen brother!

On another note, to all you 1/4 mile junkies, what can I expect with those mods?

It worked out really well as having those mods already allows me to get them past my wife. She really isn't very into the modding scene, especially after I lied to her, and then got caught, about how much I paid for an intercooled supercharger on my last car.

Welcome!

I have a black 04 too. I think we should have our own car show. Two should turn heads.

Sorry to dissapoint, but I actually live about 200 yards inside the DC border (chevy chase, DC). My wife and I are originally from NYC and need to have that city feel. We are 100 ft from the friendship heights metro.

I plan on joining the local VCA group, so hopefully I will get a chance to meet all the locals.

It's those outrageous DC income taxes that keep many of us in MD and VA at half the rate (and with better services too). That and handgun ownership, hehe. Still, Chevy Chase is sweet! Congrats on your new wheels. Looking forward to seeing you around town.

Thanks all. You mean a fire sale isn't a bad thing?

NoNercy, I will give you a good "hooah" to your "semper fi." Hey, nobody's perfect.

Since I am military (infectious disease specialist at Walter Reed) I don't pay DC income taxes as I list my permanent address as my parents house in NY (31 and still living with the parents!!!). As we don't have kids yet, I get to buy a Viper and not worry about services

The car is actually site unseen, I am going off Bill Pemberton's reputation around here. So far he doesn't seem to do anyone wrong and sticks to his word.

amen, you must have read my posts about him. I just recently got an '04 SRT Ram from him 2 weeks ago. I lived in Leesburg, VA for about 4 years (back in the late '90s). I hear its crazy out there now.

Congrats and welcome to the club. I got my modded 03 SRT from Bill P at Woodhouse as well. First time ive ever bought a car sight unseen and the car was EXACTLY as described, so no regrets. Hope to catch up with you once you get the car. i take it you have the Motons as well?? i had them install those before they shipped the car...great ride & look

Yeah, and now you get to experience the Woodhouse delivery, with the big rumbling dually backing up the enclosed trailer and all the neighbors coming out to see what's going on. Because this takes awhile, these guys take their time and do it right. And after they insist on taking you through all the operating systems of the car and then sit down with the paperwork you will be inviting them to spend the night in the guest bedroom. They will say no, they want to hit the road. VERY nice people. Best comment from my delivery came from my daughter, 17 at the time....It was really dark, about 10pm, the back door of the trailer opens, driver climbs in the car, after taking his shoes off, brake lights and reverse lights come on and he fires her up, already has catback exhaust installed by Woodhouse. Car inches a few feet out of the trailer, bunch of neighbors standing around, and she says...."Dad, which ex-boyfriend are we gonna visit first?!" Bill has heard the story and met my daughter at dinner at a VCA event but the story is worth repeating. Enjoy your delivery and take pictures! Someone should video one of these just to catch the neighbors and family's reactions and comments!

Thanks again guys, as I said - this is going to be a very long couple of days.

As I live on a pretty crowded street, I think I may meet the delivery in a parking lot nearby. I don't want to be overly cramped and not have the right amount of room to get the car out properly. Plus, it's not like I plan on taking delivery and sticking the car in my garage, I'm going for a drive!!!

and Chuck, my parents live in Pound Ridge, NY, so I will be in your area from time to time.

Thanks, I was worried that red was the fastest color. How much horsepower does a NOS sticker add?

What adds more torque a heffner logo or a "supercharger" sticker?

An added bonus: My buddy with the Ferrari 348 just told me he was jealous!!!

For the buck,
1-Stickers...S/C or TT
2-NOS :D
3-supercharger...225hp+ for less than 9k
4-Twin turbo...225hp+ will cost twice as much, and if you go with more hp( will need engine upgrades ect..)you are looking at 25-70k
